March 2006 Homework
Here is some of the outstanding work submitted by our 1st year students.
SAGITTARIUS
Sagittarius combines a mutable quality with an element of fire to
produce the most intangible of the 'fire signs'. More easy going than
Aries or Leo, the rulership of Jupiter casts it's shadow in this
restless and expansive sign. Sagittarians may meander through life
enjoying the playful journey rather than maintaining focus on long
term goals or ambitions. Humour, travel and self expression are often
evident. More negative facets of this sign can include fickleness and
an inability to deal with detail. After setbacks those of this sign
are amazingly adept at picking themselves up and carrying on
optimistically into the future.

Virgo
If your neighbour is a Virgo, you’d better be alert
Should she give advice, she wants to help - not hurt
Life can be perfected, Virgo will tell you how
Mistakes must be corrected, ‘improve things’ is their vow
No matter what their age, their minds are like a sleuth
They are life’s tireless seekers of Wisdom and of Truth
Perfection is a sacred word, Purity is their goal
Service is their duty, as they follow each protocol,
They analyse intensely, dissecting every thought
They follow all the guidelines, they’re born to give support,
They aim to be as useful as all their skills allow
Money’s not a goal, they’re seeking Heavenly Power
They’re happy when a jobs well done– they don’t seek recognition
Discrimination is their strength, their weakness - ‘inhibition’.
They’ll happily work overtime, fun times must be productive
They share their knowledge happily, they’re helpful and constructive.
Their mind is like a microscope as they focus on detail
If they miss the broader picture, there’s danger they could fail.
They’re humble and quite versatile, they never strive for fame
They do like mental challenges, it can even be a game.
It’s said they always nitpick, that Virgos tend to nag
They’re very hypersensitive, if criticised – they gag.
They’re disciplined, reserved, they follow all the rules
Those who cut the corners, criticise, and call them fools,
They’re very independent, they’ll never be expelled,
They approach their work with logic, their mind’s unparalleled
With quiet dedication, they pursue their distant goal
Cool hearted and clear minded, they never do look old.
Cleanliness they love, sloppiness they abhor
They’ll help you tidy up – then be your counsellor
Don’t compliment a Virgo with words that are profusive
Instead of being your new friend – they’ll just become reclusive
The Virgo is a loner – please listen when they speak
They’re introverts at heart, they’re often shy and meek.
They’ll never be a leader, they avoid noise and big parties
When you need assistance, they’ll give it to you gratis.
Virgos need encouragement – second best won’t do
With their quiet, industrious nature – it’s perfection they pursue.
They’re practical, methodical, born scholars collecting facts
They value every detail, which they always do give back
If you have a question, the answer is at hand
Their bookshelf is a library, a literary wonderland.
Their spirit of efficiency, their conscientious style
Assist them to be helpful, to do something worthwhile
They love to organise, to improve the status quo
They love to use their judgment - all impurities must go.
Their strong power of analysis becomes a special tool
It helps them to develop, they know that life’s a school,
They tend to be self-critical, they need to have routine
Order makes them happy, chaos makes them scream.
Though Virgos are quite cautious, they’ll open up Love’s door
When they find the ‘perfect’ one, then love’s for evermore.
It’s time to praise the virtues of the maiden with the wheat
She’s reaching for perfection, now that is quite a feat. Rosemary Szente
